First, connect the power cables according to the instructions.
Activate manual mode by turning the upper right switch to the left. You can adjust the settings using the joystick on the control panel, and use the rotary speed control knob to fine-tune the movement speed.
Switch on the machine using the isolator on the right side of the blue power supply panel.
Ensure the emergency stop is disengaged.
Check that the parameters under the ‘Automatic’ tab are set correctly.
Place the blades onto the machining bed, ensuring the flat back of the blade rests against the stop.
Use a feeler gauge to check that both blades are seated flush along their length.
If necessary, adjust the blade angle using the adjustment wheel. Once set, engage the locking lever.
Press the magnetize button on the control panel, then ensure the blades are properly magnetized to the bed.
Switch to manual mode, then use the joystick to adjust the blade to the left-side position. Press the “Left Limit” button on the control panel to set it. Similarly, set the “Right Limit”
Set the machine to automation mode by turning the upper right switch to the right.
Activate the water pump and grinding stone by turning the upper left switch first left, then right.
Press the ‘X-axis manual’ button to start the automatic cutting routine.
Allow the sharpening process to run for around 10 minutes. Be cautious, as the blades will get very hot and might generate smoke.
Check the blade’s sharpness. If it’s not up to standard, repeat the process,
Once done, ensure the green button is off to demagnetize the bed, allowing safe blade removal.
Finally, switch off the machine, clean the slag trough, and check that the guide rail oil reservoir is filled and free from debris. Pump the lever a couple of times to lubricate the rails.
